Hiya guys...more cooking tips from me...

Cooking Okra





Well there are quite a lot of things you can do with Okra...
Before I go any further let me tell those guys who do not know that...okra is also known as...Lady's Finger...I dont know why they call it lady's finger anyways..cos it is no way near the softness of a lady's finger...at least not my lady's finger...

Well...cooking okra can be a bit of challenge...though you can make curry with it or you can make a good side dish with okra...and if you are considering a side dish...these are some tips you can use...

1. Make sure you buy the okra's which have a very fragile tip...try to break it and if it does then it will make cooking all the more easier...because it means it is tender...
2. Cut the okra into nice small pieces and before you cook...microwave it for about 1 and 1/2 mins and then it would make it all the more soft...it would also reduce the cooking time considerably.
3. And finally if you find that it is slimy while cooking add 1 finely chopped tomato and it would take the slime away...dont ask me how..but just be advised that it works really well.

Now,some call it the Egg plant...

And the others call it Aubergine....

But no matter what they call...it all means the same...it means...Brinjal...

And you can also chop the Brinjals and soften it up by putting it in the microwave for 2 Mins...and Voila...it again reduces the cooking time for the brinjals drastically...

And finally...if you looooove Bitter Gourd..(jus like me) then you can cook a nice side dish for your dhal curry or curd rice or even rasam....

And again to reduce the time it takes for you to cook Bitter Gourd...chop it finely and microwave it for 3 Minutes...
